Experience – We serve and love a God who interacts with His creation. As believers our first need is to connect with Him in daily worship of who God is with loving thankfulness. For unbelievers the first need is to experience God through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and to accept His saving gift.
“Jesus said to him, Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment.” -Matthew 22:37-38
“We all, with unveiled faces, are reflecting the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18
“Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man or woman with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.” -Ephesians 4:13
Live – Out of our love for God we strive to live for Him. We learn to how to live by looking to and learning from God’s inspired, inerrant, and authoritative word, the Bible.
“The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” -Mathew 22:39
“And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man and woman with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.” -Ephesians 4:11-13
Share – Out of our love for God and His creation we share the hope found through Jesus Christ and the life that He can give to everyone.
“Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.” -Matthew 28:19-20a
“But you will receive power when
the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in
Vision: Is for youth to take ownership of their own faith resulting in an authentic inward and outward relationship and life with God.
Purpose in the Church: Our youth ministry is one ministry amongst the church body as a whole. The youth ministry is not a church on its own.
Purpose in the World: Is to display Jesus in the world through our thoughts, words, and actions.
